I created this blog to share my ideas about positive media. In my view, even though life isn't always easy, there's a lot of good to be found, and the media as a whole should reflect this more often.
I'd love to see people valued, causes promoted and the good, awesome, inspiring, uplifting (you get the picture) aspects of life shared.
I called the blog Ashes and Beauty because I know the beauty is often hiding under the bad, but I'd love to see that happen less often, and even if it doesn't, one day, we can receive "a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of despair." (Isaiah 61:3)
